I used to nurse my baby to sleep (ftm of a 4.5 month old), but wanted to try and see if she'd take naps without being breastfed to sleep because the putting her down part was always so stressful with her being jolted awake. Her naps were always so short (5-40 min max) as well, which I think also had to do with her needing to burp or the milk being digested. The last couple weeks I've put her in her crib when I know she's getting tired, put a paci in her mouth and hold it there even as she is turning her head fiercely, and gently shooshing her to sleep. It takes on average 5 minutes for her to pass out and now her naps range from 40 min to 2 hours. Sometimes I have to swoop in and save her nap by putting the paci back in but sometimes she is perfectly fine without it. Worth a shot!!

in my experience, not really. in fact, a higher dose could very well help reduce their severity or prevent them! i haven't tried the exact medication your son is on, but finding my ideal dose did absolute wonders for my emotional regulation, even the emotional stuff unrelated to my ADHD, so it'll likely help your son, too. on the chance it doesn't help, i would advise asking him directly what's upsetting him and work to find a solution from there.
