Honestly? As someone who is in the same boat as you, my husband and I make a similar amount of money combined and we are gonna wait. The bubble has to burst sometime, now is not the time to buy a house. Each year we push it off another year. Renting really isn't all that bad if you can work past all the discomforts, it really is nice to call someone when your refrigerator breaks, when your AC goes out, when your dishwasher leaks, instead of paying out of your own pocket to have someone come fix it. Those things WILL happen.

To play devil's advocate, most people have the same thinking that the bubble will burst. Everyone is sitting on the sideline waiting for rates, housing, etc to go down. Once it does it'll be as competitive, if not more, than what 2020 was.
