Music doesn’t play from iPhone when connected to car although it does for others’ phones using same cable?

Hello!

My iPhone does not play music when connected through USB to my car’s stereo. When connected, my phone is charging and the stereo displays the length of the selected song (which indicates that it recognizes my phone), but no music actually plays.

Other peoples’ phones work completely fine as well (using the same cable).
