My dad is many people

Hi, so basically my dad and I have a good relationship and we share a bit in common. Although sometimes he does these things where I catch a wave of his angry and narcissistic personality. Also recently we’ve been growing really close by watching movies together and sharing videos online, however today he shouted at my mum so I told him later to observe what he did wrong and he told me to not ‘fucking lecture me boy’. I don’t really know what I’m doing here but I’d just love for some advice on how to get him to change for the better of each member of our family including himself.
