Possible explanations for the Z-A starter trio!
Here's some possible explanations I thought of.
Tepig: Truffle pigs, which are often used in France to sniff out truffles for cuisine.
Totodile: Likely connected to the Parisian sewer crocs.
Chikorita: I have two answers for this one. 1.) Aromatherapy, which was and often still is used widely in Europe, but was especially prevalent around the time of the black plague. 2.) Meganium bears resemblance to the lily, which is particularly important in French culture, and is what the fleur-de-lis is based on.
Obviously I'm not Gamefreak and I could be completely wrong, but these are my thoughts! Let me know what you think!
