Moving and getting out
Hey all So my husband is AD set to get out at the end of April. We won't be moving back to our home of record, but rather a couple hours north of where we are stationed now. We've only dealt with the navy movers twice.
Can anyone explain having the navy move us for the last time? I've heard they'll pack and move you a certain distance equal to home of record for free, is this true? Also how long if necessary will they store our items? Is the storage free up to a certain number of days? If we're only moving a few hours away will we likely get our items quickly if they won't be in storage? We're trying to buy a house before we move so the stuff won't need to be stored.
I know alot of this is also dependent on the moving company so I'm just looking for general advice or people's personal experience with it
Thank you!
