how to calm yourself down?

I’ve been struggling with ibs for some time now. It was not really that severe before (I would experience some flare ups before taking antidepressants in the morning before school back when I was in high school). Recently for almost a month every weekend I have really bad flare up which consists of diarrhea and me feeling nauseous and not being able to eat anything. Then I would get more nauseous with time because I would have empty stomach. I experience it mostly on sundays and mondays. I thought that maybe it was a response to me going back from my mum’s place to the university but today I experienced really bad ibs flare up even though I’m going back to university in two days. Do you guys have any protips on how to calm myself down without taking antidepressants? They are not working for me anymore and I’m slowly getting off of them. I heard good things about acupuncture but do you maybe have any good way of quickly calming yourself down? I’m desperate :((
