What's the deal with FIDM right now?

I live in Arizona, and was planning going to ASU's fashion school in LA, because I want to move to LA for a lot of reasons unrelated to fashion, and I just now found out it's like a formerly, or currently prestigious fashion school. I went into ASU's fashion program strictly for location, and because the GPA requirement for someone with an associates is 2.0. Like is it still a good school? I don't care too much if it is just ASU's fashion design school, because I planned on enrolling with pretty low expectations, but now I feel weird about it.
