Free Ryzen 5 5500 and Motherboard

My friend Recently upgraded his pc and has offered to give me his ryzen 5 5500 along with his motherboard which is ddr4. I was looking at getting the rx6750xt to play games such as rdr2 and I will be upgrading to 1440p, however I’m not too sure if that’s a good combination. Would like to keep the budget reasonably low however don’t want to cheap out. Thanks in advance.
