My parents will NOT let me buy a separate cage for my new budgie, what do I do??

I have one budgie and I'm getting a new one tomorrow, but my parents ignore me and sometimes yell at me when I ask to go buy a separate cage for the new one. I've told them why and I've been offering to pay for it from the start but they just won't let me. What do I do? Are there alternatives?
