(M 24) Rapid weight gain from eating disorder affecting health, Need advice
Hey guys.
So today I received a very depressing call from my doctor regarding my cholesterol levels. Appently i have an an Lbl Of 135 and cholesterol level of 210, im 24 years old. So basically for some context, ive never been at natural body weight my whole life, I've i spent most of teen years around the 250-260 range until i graduated High school and dropped 230lbs during community college and 210 during the pandemic, although not in a healthy way. after covid i regained up to 268lbs and dropped down to 234 where i stayed during my two years at university. due to a personal circumstance i fell victim to binge eating during which in since july I've gained 65 pounds putting me at the 290lbs range. prior to my graduation i found out i had an eating disorder and have been on off prozac since due to school and transportation issue. I just started a stronger dosage of My BED (Binge Eating disorder) Medication yesterday and would like to be at 200lbs by the end of the year. Ive come up with a plan but i need feed back and direction as well as what progress i should be aiming for. ive done 2lb a week but due to my rapid covid weight loss I've lost the discipline to count calories and also see quick results. I've thought about ditching the scale entirely but I'm afraid to because. I feel very powerless in all of this and im so conditioned to seeing fast results from the lockdown period 1lbs a week feels like im wasting time and loosing 4lbs in a month feel worthless.
I've come up with resemblance of a plan but due to money constraints I'm not sure how can effectively diet but i have some ideas.
16:8 Fasting (Not sure how often i can do this )
Walking 10k steps a day: I used to this a lot but in college i fell out of the habit trying to figure out where to start again.
Fiber powder/ supplements: because I'm currently jobless i don't have much control over what i eat however my biggest problem is fiber.
1 gallon of water a day: I used to have this habit, apparently water breaks down cholesterol however 1 gallon pushes me over the 300 mark and my feet already hurt from the rapid weight gain.
Fixing sleep: Since I've graduated college this December my circadian rhythm has been completely reversed although I'm getting close to fixing it. since the third week of January i've been sleeping at day and awake at night until dawn.
