Bad email respond rate
Just a rant. Why are they always so slow or sometimes never respond to emails? If the workload are too much for them, the University should hire more staff. Why do we only have ONE academic advisor for the whole major? Who can we even seek help from if that only advisor got sick?
So tired right now. I got an internship offer that starts next week and I’m still waiting to get an approval from my academic advisor. He’s the only advisor I can reach out. I have like 2 more approval steps before I can start. If they take too long I’ll need to ask for another job offer with a new start date
Several months ago I send an email to my career advisor, she respond to the first one and after I replied, she seems to forgot about it. Same issue with enrollment service, sent an email 2 months ago, resent after 1 2 weeks, never respond
UH needs to do better. If they have more students then they should hire more staff too
Update: I got through this approval step just today after posting this 🥳 But still I wouldn’t change my thought about UH should give each major at least 2-3 advisors
