[TX] Signed lease on Saturday, moved in Sunday and lease voided Sunday night. My belongings are still there. What are my rights?

Hello,

I signed my lease for an apartment in on Saturday to start the same day. I was awaiting the property management’s signature, but in speaking to him on Friday, he said I can go ahead and move things in as he needed to work on getting me my mail key. I signed Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning I moved my things in. Late afternoon yesterday, I saw my lease was voided with the comments: “Did not take the changes on the pro rated rent. Will resend.”

Due to safety and security concerns with my move anyway, I wasn’t comfortable staying there anyway and had a backup just in case. I signed the lease with the backup this morning and looking to get my stuff out of the first apartment ASAP.

I’ve called the property manager of the first apartment several times this morning and haven’t gotten an answer.

Since the original lease has been voided but I signed, is having my things there illegal?
