Watched all the Scooby Doo Specials that were on Tubi before they expired yesterday and here are my thoughts:
Scooby Doo Goes Hollywood (1979): 8/10 The beginning was weird, like, I highly doubt that the Scooby gang would quit solving mysteries for the greater good and start solving mysteries on tv, kinda goes against their principles, however, the pilots are funny, the network president has some standout moments, and the song with a montage of clips from SD WAY was nice, the ending with a huge crowd of people wanting Scoob to go back to Saturday mornings unarguably implies that Scooby's Saturday morning show has been going on for at the very least a good while, which is weird because the characters still look as young as they were when they solved actual mysteries, still this is probably the best out of all of the Scooby specials I watched, and it has pretty good animaton for a Scooby product of its day, definitely a relatively good piece of content for Scoob's 10th anniversary.
Scooby Doo Meets The Boo Brothers (1989) 6.5/10 This movie feels way too long, for being and hour and a half it feels like it lasts 5 hours, the boo brothers add nothing, Sadie Mae and Billy Bob are just more pointless obstacles for Shag, Scrap and Scoob, and it feels like there's 100 different monsters in the movie for how abundant they are, I thought the Boo Brothers headlined a franchise of their own and this was a crossover movie but apparently it seems that they were created for just this movie, however the movie still has funny and clever moments, the Sheriff is a standout for sure, and the twist that the ghost of Beauregard was an actual ghost at the end was kinda cool, overall, just a weird movie, not bad at all, but it's not for me that much and I wouldn't consider rewatching it if I could unless i really felt bored.
Scooby Doo & The Beach Beastie (2015) 5/10: This is a weird movie, first off Fred is obsessed with nets and Scooby falls in love with a female dog and Shaggy is mad because he feels the dog took his bestie, what a TOTALLY original plot that DEFINITELY hasn't been done elsewhere, the Villains motives are a letdown also, however the animation and voice acting are the usual okay quality that's been the baseline for Scooby content these past few years and Kiki Moonstone is Fine as lemon wine, definitely the worst out of all the specials here though.
