How to get the most out of this sub

Sorry I feel like there's a lot of posts and videos going into this sub asking for help and as a coach I can't evaluate them or help because key information is missing. So I figured I'd make a list of what to make sure is in your video so that we can better help you.

  1. Tell us what sport CLEARLY you're competing in. Thai rules are different from K1 which are different from MMA. Techniques are revised for the best results in each ruleset. For example, low kicks are done with a step in Thai rules for power, but are not (usually) in K1 because it's more important to stand and work. And all of it is different from MMA

  2. Use a stable heavy bag. Yes sure, all bags are good and useful, but 90% of the time you're doing the wrong drills on the wrong bag. Different bags are meant to develop different part of the fighter's game. Smacking a slip bag back and forth really hard to try to tip it over is not useful and a waste of time. Do the proper drills with the proper equipment.

  3. Show us your base fight stance. Your real one. Your actual fight stance. Not the one with you standing straight up right with your hands by your temples. Your proper one with your knees softened and your feet in the proper position. Everything comes from here and we need to know how close you are to staying here

  4. Do the thing you want critique on 4/5/6/7/X times. You may do this combo once perfectly, but that's not your average. Or you may have done it shittily, but that's not where the problem lies. A key part of fixing technique is consistency. And we need to see it several times to see where you are making the same consistent mistakes

  5. Finally, the MOST IMPORTANT. Any advice we give is probably wrong if we can't see your hips and feet. A lot of videos posted here is just from the waist up, and I can already tell that the problem is just off screen but I can't see it. Post your videos showing your ENTIRE body so we get the full picture. And if for some reason you can't do that, just post the vid of your hips and feet. That will be more helpful than your upper body.

Anything else I may have forgotten, I'm hoping other coaches add on. Let's compile a list together so we can help you better
