Best armor set for HBG and Other melee?

I’m really in love with HBG, it’s the first monster hunter game that I really gave a chance to play a ranged weapon, I always been using melee weapons.

Any build that works for Both HBG and a melee weapon?

Which melee weapon would have a better synergy with HBG build?
