Keep Calm and Carry On, I guess?

Hi all, I moved to the UK last year & have recently been told that NHS guidelines for fibromyalgia treatment are (1) no painkillers and (2) talking therapies. As someone who has been on Pregabalin 100mg BD since I was 16 for the pain, this is terrifying! I work full time for the NHS in a very physical role and barely get by even with my Pregabalin. I’m already in talking therapies and have been working on my mental health for years. I’ve had great progress on that front but unfortunately my pain levels are still the same. My GP tried to initiate a tapering plan despite my concerns. I’d be fine exploring other treatments but I’ve tried so many already with no luck (topical ketamine, CBD, antidepressants, massage therapy, low gravity therapy, NSAIDS, naltrexone, TENS, physio, methylation supplements, you name it). Moving back to the USA isn’t an option and neither is going private at this point. Has anyone experienced something similar & found a happy middle ground?
