Solo or group ? I am noob

Hi there !

I have been watching Eco streams like crazy and have decided I would like to play.

Before I buy it, I am a noob, I know nothing about the game other than what I’ve watched.

Am I able to play this solo ? But still interact with other players ?

Otherwise how would I go about finding a group to play with ? Who would be nice to me and help me learn haha.
