I Built A Crypto Casino Game Tracker (17,500+ Spins Later)
After getting frustrated with trying to remember which games were paying well, I built a simple tracking tool to record all my slots sessions. Thought I'd share what I learned after logging 17,500+ spins across 25 different games.
The Tracker
Created a simple spreadsheet that logs:
- Game name
- Provider
- Volatility
- Advertised RTP
- Session date/time
- Starting balance
- Ending balance
- Spins played
- Bonus features triggered
- Biggest win
- Actual RTP for session
Most Surprising Findings
Time of day showed no correlation with results Despite all the theories about "loose times" for slots, my data showed no statistically significant difference between morning, afternoon, evening, or late night sessions.
Session length had massive impact Shorter sessions (under 100 spins) had much more variance, with many ending at +50% or worse than -80%. Longer sessions consistently moved toward the theoretical RTP.
Bonus frequency varied wildly from expectations Games like Money Train 3 advertise bonus trigger rates around 1/200, but my actual rate was 1/372 across 2,600+ spins.
Volatility was more important than RTP Low volatility games with 96% RTP consistently outperformed high volatility games with 97%+ RTP in terms of bankroll longevity and session results.
Best Performing Games (Actual RTP)
- Blood Suckers - 97.8% actual RTP across 1,200 spins
- Starburst - 97.2% actual RTP across 900 spins
- 9 Masks of Fire - 96.9% actual RTP across 800 spins
- Gates of Olympus - 91.2% actual RTP across 1,500 spins
- Sweet Bonanza - 89.7% actual RTP across 1,300 spins
Worst Performing Games (Actual RTP)
- Book of Shadows - 86.3% actual RTP across 700 spins
- Wild West Gold - 87.1% actual RTP across 800 spins
- Mental - 87.6% actual RTP across 600 spins
Practical Applications
I've used this data to make better decisions about:
- Which games to play when completing bonus wagering
- How to structure sessions for better bankroll management
- When to move on from a game that's underperforming
- Which bonus features actually deliver value
The biggest takeaway has been how important it is to track your own results rather than rely on theoretical numbers or other people's experiences. RTP works over millions of spins, but individual session results can vary enormously.
Happy to share the tracker template if people are interested. Anyone else keep detailed records of their play? What patterns have you noticed?
